I have been using it for the past 3 weeks, and I have already lost 5 pounds just by eating better and counting my calories. Every body goes through odd times with gaining and losing for better or for worse. The Lose It application will help you set a realistic goal and count your calories for you. You are required to jot down everything you eat during the day (easy right?). It is not 100% accurate with all of the nutrition facts, it definitely reminds you to look on labels of things that you eat. Pretty amazing that an 8 oz of vanilla yogurt is 110 calories, and a piece of pizza can be up to a whopping 700.

The best part about using this app? It's free =)Beloved Inamoratahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10380321053640994596noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2385016261526197836.post-73159225000002889952010-08-12T11:53:00.000-07:002010-08-12T11:53:31.850-07:00Fitness - Sexy Abs Workout RoutineBeloved Inamoratahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10380321053640994596noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2385016261526197836.post-24619994805629180742010-05-31T21:15:00.001-07:002010-05-31T21:28:25.514-07:00Day 1 of the P.B.D.<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 213px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2KKUV4qjqXPsXmqxi0Zpgp1jQZHHpcvb-KfBW1g7oiDb3vpvmjO2dH_m3GyXz6xC8XJFlJEIz4KE8NRfHSS5BGOTL_J6dSVU9l1TDu1jaahg-SSty9t26L335tQ91movUXXjpgQAME-NC/s320/Strawberries_with_Sour_Cream_and_Brown_Sugar_1_500.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5477657391812076946" />

Well - I think out of all day I will give myself a B. (yeah ladies you rate yourself with this thing!)

I ate breakfast (endless amounts of freshly picked apricots), jogged and walked for an hour and a half. Came home - stretched and did some yoga. Drank 30 ounces of water. I also managed to eat some oreo cookies and a lady finger cupcake . . . hehe . .

Ate hummus and veggies for lunch. Lentil soup and Greek salad for dinner. Now for a dessert I am treating myself to watermelon and strawberries with my honey ;) By the end of the night I need to drink at least another 30 ounces of water.

I will say I did pretty good today, considering my old diet consisted only of oreos and lady finger cupcakes ;)

So what things are important for you to do throughout the day for your body? Eating right, drinking plenty of water, and getting at least thirty minutes of exercise a day are great ideas! AND another great idea - if your body is telling you to eat the oreo - go ahead and eat the oreo!!! Just don't eat the whole pack. =)

A delictable treat from me to you:

Strawberries with brown sugar dressing.

You need: Strawberries, two spoonfuls of sour cream, two spoonfuls of brown sugar.

Mix the sour cream and brown sugar into a bowl until blended. Clean and cut strawberries. What the heck is water anyways?<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 196px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiECmh89oSUvPYcXL4ejJ_QM1pHgiAOOrVrybL_W3VRQkdhcjnHjAKeesOqFVdyAKQ-Gw86KWyLzFKK0cHtwbh-t9zApR0ZSqa6lXMi77me-fVo88Fy2MntIethyh-c6-S6_dlZ_EepBvwH/s320/jennifer-aniston-smart-water.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5477578439365945506" />
Water. Smart Water. AquaHydrate. Vitamin Water. Fiji. Aquafina. Arrowhead.

What is in water? Depending on what kind of water you purchase, different things will be in water. You can get water with vitamins, alkaline, ionic minerals, water that is microstructured, etc. Water is necessary for the life of most animals and plants. If we don't drink water, we will not be as efficient as we could be.

What is it that makes water so important? You have an idea? I'll tell you what I think. The most important thing about water is that we need it badly. So badly that if we don't drink it, we die. Long before you would die from starvation, you'd die from dehydration.

Now what does that tell us? It tells us only one thing. Water consumption is one of the most important parts of our diet. Our body needs, no craves water badly. When you don't drink enough water, your body will suffer. You probably already know that 70 % of our body is made of water. Sweating, breathing, living,... you lose water all the time!

Let's take a look at some of the main bodily functions in which water plays an important role.

Water is essential for our bodily functions.
Water protects our organs and body parts and holds them together.
Water is essential for our body cells, it gives them strength.
Water is used to transport nutritients, waste matter, hormones and other things in our body.
Water can help you maintain and lose weight.
Drinking water before a meal will regulate your appetite, making you feel full and satisfied a lot faster. As a result you will eat less and for that, lose weight.
Drinking water gives your metabolism a small boost, because your body will be well oiled.
Water helps cure other health issues.
Drinking more water will make you retain less water.
One glass of water can sometimes cure a headache.
Waters Lowers blood pressure and cholesterol.
Water Decrease chance of kidney stones.
Water gives you energy when you feel tired.

So to answer your questions: How much water do I need to drink??? A lot of people will say - drink 8 glasses of water a day. Wow - that's a lot of water! But guess what? A lof of us need more than that.

Take your weight in pounds and divide it in half. You are supposed to drink half of the amount you weigh. Not in pounds silly ;) Change the pounds to ounces. For example:

My weight: 150 pounds
Half of my weight: 75 pounds
What I need to drink = 75 ounces

More things are involved when trying to figure out how much water you need to drink. Are you pregnant? Breastfeeding? Living in high altitude? Do you drink alcohol?

For a more accurate answer on how much water you should drink, take this test! Hope you enjoy!

http://nutrition.about.com/library/blwatercalculator.htmBeloved Inamoratahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10380321053640994596noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2385016261526197836.post-38895133203179767842010-05-31T13:23:00.001-07:002010-05-31T16:03:04.151-07:00Starting it up right!Hello again fellow bloggers!

Well well well. I started the year off great! Exercising every day, drinking tons of aquahydrate, and eating right. But then, I fell in love, and my priorities changed for a couple of months hehe ;) I have been going out to eat very often, completely stopped exercising, and my sleeping schedule is WAY off. So - let's get back on track, and why not together?!

And remember ladies - This really is not a diet to lose weight. This diet is to get all of us women not just fit, but also strong! Many of us will lose some pounds here and there, but the goal is to be stronger. Your mind will be healthier, along with your body. You will have more energy, and will be able to focus better.

Let's get it started!Beloved Inamoratahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10380321053640994596noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2385016261526197836.post-5976810402335996792009-02-09T17:17:00.000-08:002009-02-09T17:24:36.121-08:00Daily Exercise<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7avG2adDOFUUCLFZJNLCRv2BGC-F8_r3bdW-qUT_YOvdvgqjDrVsOUlsLvkCFrdgLGRuLADaFbmYhPdCupYgZi1VCNMJ1BEFQ7dpyJMEF7TpqyWQrKArMXDezo1wCPzKlSd1UbA423bew/s320/200258345-001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300973497651268194" />
May I emphasize how important daily exercise is?

It is VERY important! Cardio, Strength Training, and Stretching is very important. One of my favorites ways to exercise is to run and jog outdoors. Windy and rainy days are more fun with a friend, you tend to get some good laughs in too while you are out there shivering!

What kinds of things to you like to do for exercise? Walking dogs, jump rope, power push ups? Find the things that your body loves. What an amazing first month! After reading the book and getting my groceries, I started out on a good pace. Cooking was difficult to do because I haven't had to put cooking into my schedule. I felt like I didn't have the time. I am not domestic by any means, so the cooking did take a little longer for me to do than the average person. I was very impressed how good the food tasted!

I managed to exercise as the book insisted for 2 weeks, as well as the constant eating! I felt more awake. I slept better. I was focused. I hardly pulled (you trichsters will understand!). I lost 4 pounds, and felt tighter around my waist. What did I do wrong?

I was only prepared for 2 weeks. After the second Saturday, I had no more food in my fridge. All of a sudden, it was an instant excuse to go to Carl's Junior. So, for the past 2 weeks, I have been eating nothing but junk food. I haven't had enough energy to go out and exercise. I gained 7 pounds. AND, I think I am going to start my menstrual cycle early. My body is in pain and I feel pretty agitated.

So, Monday I am back at it again, and I hope not to make the same mistake! Let's get it started! Again!Beloved Inamoratahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10380321053640994596noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2385016261526197836.post-67342766350715122492009-01-10T12:20:00.000-08:002009-01-10T12:39:29.297-08:00Starting your diet right. This diet takes A LOT of preparation time. You have to go out and shop for things. Give yourself at least a week to do this. You are going to be very consumed with the time you will be COOKING. Yeah, I said it. Cooking. Good luck. The meals are very good. I will be taking photos of everything I eat. So, realistically, I should be pulling my camera out AT LEAST 6 times a day.

That's right. You aren't going to starve. Also, this is not a cheap diet at all. You will be emptying your wallets for healthy food. I have already spent $200 (at least) for the first couple of ingredients. You will be required to purchase Glucomannan (which does work) - it is a natural healthy Fiber. You will also purchase Protein.

For this past week, I have been switching just a couple of foods out with what I used to eat. I have been eating nuts, fruit, vegetables, salads, meat, etc. I have also been eating cookies, chocolate, hot chocolate, etc. However, I have dramatically decreased the unhealthy foods with unhealthy foods. And guess what? Without exercising this week, I have dropped 1/2 a pound. I am now 132.5.

Starting Monday, my diet is going to begin. I have learned that my previous diets fail because I didn't prepare for them. I always had good intentions of changing my lifestyle. Lifestyles don't just change overnight. I have prepared for a good two weeks reading the book meticulously, and purchasing good food that is requested from the book. I have never bought so much healthy food in my life. My diet seriously needed a change. I BET that yours does too.

I thought I was very healthy. Obviously, with the amount of energy I have now, with just eating healthy food for a week (including munchies), I feel very good. I used to feel terribly groggy. My old diet consisted of microwave food, fast food, sugary foods, no dinner, sometimes no breakfast. Now I am eating 6 times a day. I am never hungry. I am never unsatisfied. I am very excited to start this diet right.

START YOUR DIET RIGHT! PLAN & PREPARE!!!

I have created a schedule where I am going to cook my meals a day ahead of when I actually have to eat them. I am a very busy lady, and don't have time to stay in the kitchen 5 hours a night. I am new to cooking, so I hope that after a while I will learn how to also be speedy in the kitchen . . . not just in the bedroom . . . ha ha sorry I had to put that in there. Anyways.

Give yourself at least 2 weeks to read and prepare yourself for the diet. Enjoy your old lifestyle and enjoy that body you will never have to see again. Literally. I promise you that withing 3 weeks of the diet, you will see a dramatic change.

By the way, read the quote in the photo. As you will learn in the book, the majority of us are not supposed to look like Victoria's Secret Models. We are all beautiful. When your body says "I am happy and feel great," listen to it. You are all very beautiful women. The more you allow yourself to take care of your body properly, the healthier your mind will be, and the healthier you will look.
