Daily Exercise

May I emphasize how important daily exercise is?

It is VERY important! Cardio, Strength Training, and Stretching is very important. One of my favorites ways to exercise is to run and jog outdoors. Windy and rainy days are more fun with a friend, you tend to get some good laughs in too while you are out there shivering!

What kinds of things to you like to do for exercise? Walking dogs, jump rope, power push ups? Find the things that your body loves. You will exercise better and find it easier to do every day when you find someone you feel good at.

February beginnings!

Hello everyone,

Well. What an amazing first month! After reading the book and getting my groceries, I started out on a good pace. Cooking was difficult to do because I haven't had to put cooking into my schedule. I felt like I didn't have the time. I am not domestic by any means, so the cooking did take a little longer for me to do than the average person. I was very impressed how good the food tasted!

I managed to exercise as the book insisted for 2 weeks, as well as the constant eating! I felt more awake. I slept better. I was focused. I hardly pulled (you trichsters will understand!). I lost 4 pounds, and felt tighter around my waist. What did I do wrong?

I was only prepared for 2 weeks. After the second Saturday, I had no more food in my fridge. All of a sudden, it was an instant excuse to go to Carl's Junior. So, for the past 2 weeks, I have been eating nothing but junk food. I haven't had enough energy to go out and exercise. I gained 7 pounds. AND, I think I am going to start my menstrual cycle early. My body is in pain and I feel pretty agitated.

So, Monday I am back at it again, and I hope not to make the same mistake! Let's get it started! Again!

Starting your diet right. Plan and Prepare.

So, after reading the book by Women's Health, and even re reading some parts of it, I can say I have been quite educated on what I need to do for this diet. This diet takes A LOT of preparation time. You have to go out and shop for things. Give yourself at least a week to do this. You are going to be very consumed with the time you will be COOKING. Yeah, I said it. Cooking. Good luck. The meals are very good. I will be taking photos of everything I eat. So, realistically, I should be pulling my camera out AT LEAST 6 times a day.

That's right. You aren't going to starve. Also, this is not a cheap diet at all. You will be emptying your wallets for healthy food. I have already spent $200 (at least) for the first couple of ingredients. You will be required to purchase Glucomannan (which does work) - it is a natural healthy Fiber. You will also purchase Protein.

For this past week, I have been switching just a couple of foods out with what I used to eat. I have been eating nuts, fruit, vegetables, salads, meat, etc. I have also been eating cookies, chocolate, hot chocolate, etc. However, I have dramatically decreased the unhealthy foods with unhealthy foods. And guess what? Without exercising this week, I have dropped 1/2 a pound. I am now 132.5.

Starting Monday, my diet is going to begin. I have learned that my previous diets fail because I didn't prepare for them. I always had good intentions of changing my lifestyle. Lifestyles don't just change overnight. I have prepared for a good two weeks reading the book meticulously, and purchasing good food that is requested from the book. I have never bought so much healthy food in my life. My diet seriously needed a change. I BET that yours does too.

I thought I was very healthy. Obviously, with the amount of energy I have now, with just eating healthy food for a week (including munchies), I feel very good. I used to feel terribly groggy. My old diet consisted of microwave food, fast food, sugary foods, no dinner, sometimes no breakfast. Now I am eating 6 times a day. I am never hungry. I am never unsatisfied. I am very excited to start this diet right.

START YOUR DIET RIGHT! PLAN & PREPARE!!!

I have created a schedule where I am going to cook my meals a day ahead of when I actually have to eat them. I am a very busy lady, and don't have time to stay in the kitchen 5 hours a night. I am new to cooking, so I hope that after a while I will learn how to also be speedy in the kitchen . . . not just in the bedroom . . . ha ha sorry I had to put that in there. Anyways.

Give yourself at least 2 weeks to read and prepare yourself for the diet. Enjoy your old lifestyle and enjoy that body you will never have to see again. Literally. I promise you that withing 3 weeks of the diet, you will see a dramatic change.

By the way, read the quote in the photo. As you will learn in the book, the majority of us are not supposed to look like Victoria's Secret Models. We are all beautiful. When your body says "I am happy and feel great," listen to it. You are all very beautiful women. The more you allow yourself to take care of your body properly, the healthier your mind will be, and the healthier you will look. Healthy = DROP DEAD GORGEOUS!
